I took the weekend off!

I went to Edinburgh on Saturday

It looked very nice. We couldn't get in the mash shop on the Mound ( I went with Catrin and Imogen, my daughters) and their boyfriends. But we did manage to get into the Frankenstein pub! We were only there for the day and then back to Carlisle. Edinburgh is very pretty at Christmas time though the Christmas market in Princes Street Gardens is more like a cattle market with crowd control and tinsel. We avoided it.

There was a time that they used to put up a big top with the Chaos Anarchist Circus in St Andrew Square Gardn. That was fun. I didn't see it this year. They juggled chainsaws and ate fire. Proper old-school.

Then on Sunday we went to the Cumbrian food fair in Cockermouth in the rain (myself, Sheila and the dogs. I think Callie and Ruby enjoyed running around and Jasper hopped through the mud :( But he enjoys being with his sisters.

So I had the weekend off, explaining any delay in work production.
